Since its debut in 1985, Tommy Hilfiger has been a fashion brand with strong ties to popular music. From Snoop Dogg wearing one of its classic sweatshirts on Saturday Night Live appearance, Diddy and Coolio walking the runway in a Tommy Hilfiger fashion show, this casual-cool clothing was a true staple of '90s culture and beyond, outfitting musical superstars and their fans for decades.
Now, Tommy Hilfiger celebrates its musical history with a new Tommy Jeans collection, appropriately titled “Tommy Revisited: Music Edition.” Highlighting the brand’s rich history of collaborations, the new collection features merchandise inspired by the most famous tours of the '90s, as well as the brand’s off-stage relationships with various groups and stars.

Of particular note are the shirts featuring '90s groups TLC, boy band idols the Backstreet Boys, and the ever-popular Britney Spears. Legendary rock-and-roll group Rolling Stones gets a special collaboration too, with a shirt modeled after the band's famous “No Security Tour” of 1999.
The “tour merchandise” section of the collection is particularly noteworthy, offering several shirts inspirated by show-stopping '90s tours. Here, fans will find Britney Spears-inspired shirts that take heavy inspiration from the “...Baby One More Time” tour of 1999, featuring a photo of a young Spears on the front and various cities she visited on the back.
Each shirt is modeled after the group’s signature style, with a Tommy Hilfiger twist. Most feature large portraits of the artists from their '90s heyday, backdropped by the signature Tommy red and blue. Clothing also features little splashes that fit the artists’ aesthetic. Some long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts feature the icon’s signature on one sleeve, and often a logo on the other.
According to a statement from Tommy Hilfiger, there will be 16 different t-shirts and sweatshirts available for purchase from the collection, all made from organic cotton, and all available in both unisex and female sizes.
Of course, the four groups included in this collection are not the only stars to have partnered with Hilfiger over the years. Destiny’s Child, Gwen Stefani and recent superstars A$AP Rocky, Bruno Mars and Zendaya have all repped the Hilfiger red and blue. With the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Vevo and emphasis on musical campaigns, we wonder whose face may next grace a red sweatshirt should the collection. To quote the Backstreet Boys: "I’d want it that way."
“Tommy Revisited: Music Edition" will be available to purchase at various Tommy Hilfiger stores and other department stores carrying the brand, as well as usa.tommy.com.
