Chicago’s food scene has never been more thrilling. From see-and-be-seen destinations in the white-hot Fulton Market District to under-the-radar gems in neighborhoods across the city, new restaurants are opening seemingly every day, each reflecting Chicago’s increasingly global appetite, from Korean- Italian to Eastern European and Mediterranean.

How to keep up? In this issue, we present the perfect solution: “Feed Your Senses,” a 32-hour dining crawl across Chicago, featuring 13 of the freshest, buzziest, most over-the-top-delicious restaurants and bars in the city right now. In this world of short attention spans, it’s the perfect way to indulge: a nibble here, a cocktail there, a coffee break, a late-night bite—all in a delicious dance across the Windy City. Some highlights: happy hour at Heritage Restaurant & Caviar Bar, where fish roe rules; Peninsula rooftop hangout Z Bar, for posh cocktails and stellar views; incredible Asian dim sum brunch at new Logan Square sensation Bixi Beer; and addictive tuna pringles at new River North A-list fave Tao. It’s an ambitious, tantalizing itinerary, and the ideal way to dive into Chicago’s exciting foodie world.

There are plenty of other can’t-miss ways to explore the city this winter, from immersive art installation “The Beach” at Navy Pier to scintillating stage scenes like the Lyric Opera’s Elektra and the return of the International Festival of Puppetry, plus glam shopping at new Oak Street boutiques Chanel and Van Cleef & Arpels. Whatever your appetite this season—culture, couture or culinary delights—one thing’s for sure: You’re in for a sensational Chicago winter.
