“These make me so happy,” says Chicago boutique owner and style expert Ikram Goldman, showing me her latest “magic find”: Headbands by New York brother-and-sister fashion duo Reed and Melissa Evins, aka Two City Kids. It’s not hard to see why: Adorned with miniature dogs, tea sets, babies and dolphins, the headbands are a chic accessory that can’t help but put a smile on your face.

“As soon as I saw them I was like, ‘I need to have these,’” adds Goldman. “I have not stopped thinking about them. The playfulness and whimsy that encompasses each one of those headbands is something that is just beyond; it’s the kind of humor that people need walking down the street to put a smile on someone’s face.” How does Goldman seeing her clientele wearing them? “All day, every day, day into night,” she enthuses. “Anytime you walk out the door you need to put these on—even when you’re just sitting around your house and you’re on a Zoom call, throw it on.
