Untitled Supper Club leans into the Roaring ’20s with a vintage makeover and the introduction of The Vault.
The Back Stage Bar features elements reminiscent of cabarets from the ’20s and ’30s, and showcases Untitled’s whiskey collection.
Tucked underground in the heart of River North, slinky speakeasy Untitled Supper Club has been reimagined. In partnership with local studio Siren Betty Design, this refresh—which encompasses the restaurant, bar and live music space—embraces all things Roaring ’20s with a mélange of Prohibition-era decor and modern elements.
“When we originally designed Untitled for its opening in 2011, we were inspired by the underground speakeasies of the Prohibition era—the look was more raw, stripped down,” says Nicole Alexander, Siren Betty Design founder and principal designer. “For the 2020 redesign, we went full Gatsby, creating a lush, glamorous Roaring ’20s fantasy.” With red velvet booths, antiqued mirrored walls, textured damask wallpaper and fringed light fixtures, the club beckons its revelers to embrace the past while celebrating the future.

Every room has been sprinkled with updated decor—from The Parlour’s crimson channel-tufted banquettes to the Whiskey Library’s pink marble columns and matching marble bar front. Even the restrooms have received a face-lift, with cheeky burlesque-inspired crystal chandeliers and illustrated fan dancers cancan-ing across the wallcoverings. “Each seating area within the space has its own visual identity,” says Alexander. “Depending on where you sit, there’s an opportunity for a completely different sensory adventure every time you visit.”
The Drawing Room has six private cabanas and a Champagne bar.
On the food and bev front, Untitled has recently opened The Vault, its collection of rare whiskeys, now virtually shoppable. “The Vault is our way of letting our customers enjoy a little bit of Untitled at home since they can’t drink their favorite whiskies here on-site,” says Beverage Director Kelly Dawson. From flights like Social Networking-Notworking and Rye Not Stay at Home to a selection of private barrels and a slew of intriguing whiskies, The Vault offers an impressive catalog for even the most discerning connoisseur. “I think our private barrel offerings are the most exciting bottles we have to share with our customers,” Dawson adds. The spirit that stands out to this pro? “We were privileged to select and purchase a barrel of Weller Antique 107 in 2019 and it’s definitely one of my favorites: plenty of caramel, dark fruits and baking spices. It is easy to sip, but has a little extra heat to keep everyone paying attention. And like all of our private barrels, you can only get it here.” Drink up. 111 W. Kinzie St.
