After a celebrated stint at the helm of Roger Vivier, shoe designer extraordinaire Bruno Frisoni relaunches his eponymous brand with eye-catching results.

From 2002 until 2018, Bruno Frisoni served as the creative director of iconic French footwear label Roger Vivier, shelving his own Bruno Frisoni brand in 2011 to singularly dedicate himself to the role. Now, however, the designer’s longtime fans have reason to rejoice, as he has relaunched his eponymous label—and Chicago fashion queen Ikram Goldman, for one, is here for it.

“He is an exquisite and elegant shoe designer,” enthuses Goldman of his latest collection, “and he thinks of the shoe as the base of the body. So when he designs a shoe, he thinks about the curve of the body. He makes a beautifully elegant city shoe, and he uses an elastic, not a buckle, so it doesn’t rub against your ankles, and you can wear his flats all day. It’s got a little lift to it, and it’s pointed just the right amount.” Goldman’s final verdict?

This is the footwear every A-list fashionista should be wearing this fall. “They are timeless, classic, incredibly comfortable, and super-modern and chic.” 15 E. Huron St.
