Both bold legends in their respective industries, fashion designer Betsey Johnson and Elton John are giving us a shimmering-good reason to shop this holiday season.
From Nov. 12 to Dec. 31, $1 from each product purchased from a specially curated Elton John AIDS Foundation collection will go toward supporting the nonprofit, which works to end LGBTQ+ stigma and achieve an AIDS-free future.
“I am so happy, honored, and excited to team up with the fabulously iconic Elton John and the team at the Elton John AIDS Foundation,” says Betsey Johnson. “It’s a cause so close to my heart. I’m thrilled to release a collection that merges rhinestones with a purpose. Elton has always been a shining example of self-expression, and the world is a more loving place because of him. It’s an honor to contribute to his mission. Every little bit counts, and together, we can move closer to ending AIDS for good.”
Featuring a number of Johnson’s favorite pieces, the collection includes the Kitsch Frost Yourself Bling Crossbody, Rodeo Rhinestone Boot and Betsey’s Butterfly Maxi Dress. It’s also the perfect time to finally snag a pair of the popular Cady Rhinestones boots, which have been worn by the likes of Halle and Chloe Bailey, Carrie Underwood, Rita Ora and a limitless number of Swifties who attended the Era Tour.
Furthermore, alongside an additional $50,000 donation by the Steve Madden Foundation in association with Betsey Johnson, the EJAF x Betsey Johnson collaboration is in partnership with ShoppingGives.
“When we combine our energy and compassion to foster inclusion, we can create a more accepting and loving world,” says Elton John, Founder of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. “The Elton John AIDS Foundation is thrilled to partner with Betsey Johnson, a brand that boldly celebrates authenticity and embodies the spirit of living true to oneself. Thanks to Betsey Johnson for meaningfully supporting our work to end HIV and LGBTQ+ stigma worldwide.”
