Not that international travel is back on the menu, wanderers and adventure lovers around the globe are itching for excitement—but after so much time indoors, you might want to head where you know the living is grand and the comfort comes easy.
Toward that end, gold payment provider Glint gathered the data and crunched the numbers, surveying well-to-do travelers to find and rank the most luxurious international airports around the world.
Compiling an exhaustive list of international airports is no easy task, but Glint put down some steady parameters to ensure its survey’s success.

After whittling the selection down to the top 100, Glint then compared the list-makers via a set of six unique standard criteria: star rating, number of luxury brands sold in on-site stores, number of table-service restaurants, number of lounges, cleanliness rating, and finally its Google review score.
So, who takes the top spot around the globe? The findings were intrigung indeed, and they might surprise you.
In the United States, American Airlines' hub of Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport took the top spot overall, followed by New York's JFK, LAX in Los Angeles, Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, and Atlanta's mssive Harstfield.
If you're looking for specific services, JFK boasts the best shopping, Dallas wins for dining, and LAX reigns surpreme win the world of airport lounges. Chicago, Denver and Las Vegas airports landed among the cleanest in all the land, and SFO in San Francisco landed high for customer ratings.
If Europe is more your style, consider flying in and out of Istanbul Airport or Munich Airport in Germany. Those two international connection stops are the highest-ranked among discerning customers, although it should come as no surprise that Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport tops the continent for designer brand shopping.
Munich remains on top for dining, although Norway and Sweden join the fan-favorite when it comes to table-service settings. Germany's sister airport in Frankfurt has the best airport lounge, and Italy's airport in Milan gets the crown for cleanliness.
Asia is of course a top competitor in the luxury lifestyle market, and when it comes to the world stage, it's totally top of the class.
Doha Hamad International Airport in Qatar, Seoul Incheon International in South Korea, and Singapore's Changi Airport are the top three highest-rated international airports for the globe, offering a beautiful blend of comfort, convenience and luxury for tourists and professionals alike. Hong Kong takes the cake for designer shopping, while Dallas remains the globe's top dining destination for airports regardless of continent.
These and other factors prove that there's nothing better than a well-planned vacation, and should you have to travel for work in the coming year, you can now do so with the confidence of making the most wherever you go.
