The Adler Planetarium’s 28th annual Celestial Bash (the institution’s first in-person event in three years) rang true to its mission statement’s emphasis on “gathering, connecting and discovering together.” A crowd of nearly 450 explored the exhibits after hours and interacted with cutting-edge technology, including the new Doane Observatory telescope.
United Scrap Metal, whose president, Brad Serlin, serves on the planetarium’s board, received the Corporate Partner Award. Guests also had the opportunity to “adopt” an exhibit for the night, which not only honored these special attendees, but also allowed them to learn more about what the museum has to offer.
After getting a closer look at the stars, guests danced and mingled as the Chicago skyline glittered in the background. In alignment with the Adler Everywhere campaign, the museum also offered a virtual celebratory experience for guests around the globe, allowing them to tune in to a digital program.
