1.El Che Steakhouse & Bar, known for its Argentine-inspired steak and veggies, opens El Che Meat & Provisions, a market from award-winning chef John Manion. Currently bringing the West Loop a variety of premium steak cuts and prepared foods, it has expansion plans on tap for fall. 2. Michelin-starred Topolobampo, owned by Frontera Grill’s Rick and Deann Bayless, unveils Topolo 2.0, an intimate dining experience in sought-after private dining room The Library. Set above the rest of the restaurant, The Library houses over 2,000 books and its own display kitchen. Diners will enjoy drinks in the Vista bar and a minimum of six courses from the tasting menu. 445 N. Clark St.
3. A favorite for its thin-crust pizzas and deep wine list, Avondale’s Pisolino reopens as Pisolino Italian Market. While the same menu remains, the market provides a neighborhood grocer feel with high-end wares. Chef James De Marte’s curation of small-batch Italian wines and imported Italian and local goods, such as truffle honey from Chicago’s Marinello Tartufi, are available for purchase. 2755 W.
